Today as I did some little shopping at the supermarket, It somehow caught me by surprise at how much the world looks at us believers as letters and people to be emulated. Sometimes many people will not tell you that they look up to you in conduct much more than they read their bibles but sadly, yes that's the reality.
So I stopped over at the liquor shelf just seeing the brands I see advertised on billboards/TV's and those I hear some of my colleagues in office talk about (of course in my entire life I've never tasted alcohol) and then two young ladies approached me and boom! ''passy wewe pia unatembeleaga hii section yetu?" (Pastor you also visit this joint?) 😂 lol!

Well of course my response was No and they know I don't drink but this incident just got me thinking real hard, the world is looking at us, we are the light. Whether we like it or not, it's wise to live in this light and walk in this light.
The world may not approve your salvation in ur eyes but it accepts your salvation and that's why they will look up to you (church) in every aspect of life. Thank God one accepted to come to church on Sunday after my chat with them, she said she backslid and needs to reconnect to God!
The Bible says in 1 Timothy 4:12b;... but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
LORD I PRAY YOU KEEP ALL BELIEVERS STRONG AND LET THE LIGHT IN THEM SHINE BRIGHTER FOR YOUR GLORY!
It is every young and ambitious youths dream to one day walk down the isle and if not then get married but all in all,it lies in the confines of "Yes I Do..nt." Yeah its either "Yes I do" or "Yes I Don't."Could be "No i Don't" but lets stick to "Yes i Do.."
Each person loves to have a happy ever after but in most cases little if not much is considered towards getting this happy ever after.
In the recent past we have witnessed or heard of weddings cut short by jilted lovers or bitter rivals for reasons well known, well yes,one which is most common is He/She abandoned me when i most needed him/her or perhaps i have his baby,or even much more interesting,we had married before so i cant let him/her go,but my quest to write this was to dwell on the yes i do..nt.
So this is one cool morning i am in the grooms procession clad in my new black tuxedo corduroy suit,we have had a lengthy chat the previous night and from the look of things its really a blessed day.The guys are looking sharp and composed as well.On our way to pick the bridegroom, one of the groomsmen pops this hard question "Hey Omera What if She says No?"
Everyone goes silent then we break out in laughter but from the look on the grooms face, really hes startled by that question.I then interupt with a light cough "Hey guys Omera is having that grooms moment"...it happens, probably when he looks back to reflect at how he is goin to miss being a bachelor, sleeping at friends places, sometimes coming home and failing to cook, occasionally leaving his socks on the floor till the weekend when he has to wash all week long clothes and much more funny but crucial is cutting close ties with female friends.
I have known Omera for years.Growing up together as little musketeers. We have each others history and so when he goes silent i help him flashback literally. Its a cool experience that comes with mixed feelings.Perhaps i can equate the feeling to moments when you have tested for a HIV test and you await the results. Its usually a do or die moment, take it or leave it but it has to dawn.
Madanjis song "Elekta Nyar Kano" comes from the background, its Omera's phone ringing,He cant pick so i reach out to the phone,Guess who is calling,Darling...I pass him the phone and he picks with a heavy husky voice "Yes baiby" Of course that's how he has always called her, they have a short conversation and finally there is a sigh of relief as he responds "I cant wait too and i love you so much"
He smiles and we get back to cracking jokes as we finally enter Darling's parents home. Its pomp, color, song and dance as crowds gather to see their daughter officially taken to her new matrimonial home.Probably with expectations that next time she visits, they will be two in one.
Looking at it from this angle,Marital counsellors advice that when you are setting your mind towards marriage, its wise that you cut off all ties that might ruin your big day on time and in a good note.I agree to this as its a simple thing but if overlooked it could cause alot of pain and damage to not only the couple but friends and families alike.
When the moment in church finally comes,Omera is here:"Do you take Darling to be your one and only wedded wife in wealth and lack,in good and bad,in health and sickness...till death does you apart?"the priest asked and the whole congregation went mute,i presume that moment of mixed reactions was right at its course,The priest asked again, and for the third time,a baby cried in the crowd! Every eye turned including Darling and Omera but it was noting serious, just a normal cry of an infant that needs her mothers attention.Phew! And the church broke into jubilation when he quickly said YES I DO! as if he didn't want to hear that baby cry again, and more so not at such a moment of his life,12:43pm
When Darling's part came She didn't hesitate to Look into the eyes of the man of her life and say YES I DO smiling with deep expectations of the priest saying "You may now kiss the bride." Wedding vows exchanged and the priest declares the two Mr and Mrs Omera with a light but serious touch that she should only kiss her own amid song and dance.
"Josem jonyiego ketho kinda kodi to obong'o nyakalaga nosechano wadagi"(jealous people will come to destroy our love but God has put us together)
It all narrows down to you. Will you say Yes i do..nt?

12 MOST DIRTY THINGS YOU TOUCH DAILY
Here are 12 things you usually touch on a daily basis.
1. The toilet seat
Yes, the cycle begins from the start of the day. Though you clean those milky white surfaces and rims twice
a week, or maybe more, researches show some 295 types of bacteria
that can be found in every square inch of a toilet seat!
2. The light switch
Light switches are one of the most used things in a house or in a public place. They look sterile and harmless but they are one of the dirtiest things that come in regular contact with your skin. So one of the
smartest things you can do to avoid touching all the germs swimming on the switch is to get up first and leave.hehehe Everyone knows, the last one
to leave, switches off all the lights.
3. Money
Everyone loves them, the green notes, the shiny coins! They keep travelling from the hands of a cashier to the office clerk, to the homeless man, to the mother of a
new born.To the morgue.... There is no telling where
your five shillings is coming from. A study in New York revealed 135,000
bacteria from washing one bill.
4. Computer keyboard
There’s hardly anybody in Kenya who has never used a computer. All of us
spend a lot of time on it. Yet, we forget to clean its keyboard full with
bacteria and germs. Certain studies even go as far as claiming that very dirty keyboards might have germs
more than a toilet! So next time you sit down on your computer make
sure the keyboard is clean.
5. Kitchen sink
For most women, it’s hard to accept as they spend a lot of time washing at the sink. However, it’s an easy
giveaway, as a sink stays moist for most of the time and you are washing plates, meat, veggies etc. in
there, making it a birth place for germs. This is why kitchen sinks should be cleaned regularly
6. Kitchen sponge
This shouldn’t come as a shocker given the fact they do the dirty job of cleaning. It is wet most of the time and its fluid filled micro devices are hard to disinfect.
Imagine germs swimming in there in delight! A good remedy is to microwave the sponge for 60 seconds!huh?? Now you know
7. Cell phones
Think how adoringly we carry them, flaunt them, cradle between the ear and cheeks for hours!
Studies conducted in UK show that the cell phones or the mobile phones are
the new age nemesis for its users.
Because of the heat it generates, moisture from our body attract thousands of germs which are formed in the cell phones.
8. Bathtub
Though toilets and floor of a
bathroom get cleaned regularly, the bath tubs don’t get the rubs as often.
The dirt and germs on bathtubs mostly go undetected until someone
in the family gets sick with urinary tract infection.
9. TV remote Control
You touch the remote while cooking, your son jumps at it straight back from the play ground, your husband
seems to direct all his attention to it once he is home. Point is, a remote
control gets all kinds of germs from everywhere and everyone. Add that
to your cleaning list now!
10. A shopping cart
Let us not dampen your shopping spree, but because of sweat and constant touch by people, the handles of the shopping cart become
full of germs and bacteria.
11. Ear Phones
Most of us put our head phones in the handbags or in the pockets that might be carrying dirt then we end
up touching them with our hands. we also put in our in our ears therefore catching dirt.
12. Pens
People use pens and leave them on top of their desks or give out for somebody else to use . This eventually makes you’re hands catch dirt.
With all said and done I usually say God loves us and takes good care of us.But hey keep your hygiene a priority!
