There
are times when God doesn't necessarily need you to raise your problems
and concerns to Him but He needs you to praise and worship Him in TRUTH
to get your breakthrough.Looking at King Jehoshaphat in 2 Chronicles
20:1-37,Through praise and worship to God they had victory!
It would have come as a surprise to them but they obeyed the voice of the LORD and understood the battle wasn't theirs "Vs
15b This is what the LORD says to you: `Do not be afraid or discouraged
because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's"
The bible goes ahead to note that: Vs 22 As they began to sing and
praise, the LORD set ambushes against the men of Ammon and Moab and
Mount Seir who were invading Judah, and they were defeated. 23 The men
of Ammon and Moab rose up against the men from Mount Seir to destroy and
annihilate them.
The part i love most is that even after they finished slaughtering the men from Seir, THEY HELPED TO DESTROY/KILL ONE ANOTHER.
God confused them and they ended up finishing themselves.
The problem is we at times make our issues a priority in our
prayers,God needs us to be sensitive to His spirit and listen to Him.We
have made our problems too much in that a simple prayer of Thanksgiving
ends up as a long unending request on how much money we need or perhaps
what we need from God,or even how we want our enemies or business rivals
to fail.
If only today you realize that your praise to God can
be a solution to your problem then seek His face with praise..Get this:
After they killed themselves the bible notes that with them there was
great plunder, equipments, clothing and articles of value that it took
Jehoshaphat's people 3 days to bring to their land.
Listen
child of God.Sometimes the enemy attacking you carries with them that
which ideally belongs to you.The secret is how genuine is your praise
and worship to God that it can rob the devil your blessings for you to
retain them?
I pray that may God help us all realize how much he
desires from us..Not just in our prayer requests but in our genuine
worship to Him.
Shalom.
