RASTAFARI IS NOT CHRISTIANITY

RASTAFARISM IS NOT IN ANY WAY CONNECTED TO
CHRISTIANITY EVEN AS FAR AS REGGAE MUSIC IS
CONCERNED ..... CHRISTIANITY IS CHRISTIANITY N
RASTAFARISM IS SOME LOOSE MOVEMENT,THERES
NOWHERE WHERE THE TWO CONNECT .......
First of all, I think it's necessary to point out that Christianity
is not defined by being a "lot about God and other spiritual
matters". Most
world religions could include this.You could just as easily be
Muslim and sing a lot about God and spiritual matters.Even
morespecifically than that, a group may have a set of beliefs
that draw on many common themes from Christianity without
being Christian. Such is the case with the Rastafari
Movement. It is a philosophy and loosely organized way of
life that includes some common themes and often reuses
terms and phrases found in Christianity, but at it's core is a
completely separate set of beliefs.And no Rastafarians do not
believe that
Jesus is the way to God in the same way that the majority of
Christians (of any major tradition)
do. Being a loosely organized set of beliefs it is important to
note that you might run into a few people who do believe in
Jesus and claim to be Rastafarian. However the normative
Rastafari beliefs are quite different. They do not hold the
same beliefs about sin, the reasons for our
separation from God or the solution to that problem. They are
usually willing to credit Jesus with being a good moral teacher
and admire his rebel tendencies, but they completely miss the
main point of who he was: God in the flesh and the only
incarnate Messiah .they typically do believe in a christ or
messiah, but they believe he had another name, took a body
at
another time, etc. See Haile Selassie, Emperor of Ethiopia.
They attribute to him many of the
things found in Christian scriptures rather than to Jesus
Christ. Confusingly, you might even hear "trinity"
nomenclature being used by Rastafarians, but be aware that
they mean something completely different by this than
Christians.SO ANY REGGAE SONG THAT MENTIONS GOD
AND MIXES IT WITH SOMETHING ELSE DOES NOT IN ANY
WAY QUALIFY TO BE EMBRACED IN THE GOSPEL
CIRCLE ..this is it no two way about it.
CHRISTIANITY REMAINS CHRISTIANITY AND NOT A
COMBINATION OF RASTAFWARI AND CHRISTIANITY!

BORN TO DIE FOR YOU TO LIVE.

Born To Die So That You Might Live
I have been meditating on this message but before i preach it
next week i have to share this especially to my FACEBOOK
FRIENDS WHO MAY NOT BE BORN AGAIN!
The bible in Luke 2:12 says,"And this will be the sign to you:
You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a
manger...." c.f (Luke 2:67)
Have you ever wondered why the angel told the shepherds
that the Babe would be wrapped in swaddling cloths and lay in
a manger was a sign?
A manger is actually a feeding trough for livestock. You know
what a feeding trough looks like? It is basically a big
rectangular block of stone/wood with the trough hewn out of
it. So baby Jesus, who was wrapped in swaddling cloths, was
placed in such a trough.Leaving all the comfort and love the
father had for him to come and fulfill the scriptures just to set
you free.In death Jesus was wrapped again in the white
linen,the swaddling linen (Mark 15:43-46) Can you see the
similarities?
Wrapped in swaddling cloths and laid in a manger, baby
Jesus would one day be wrapped in linen and laid in a tomb.
That was the sign the angel was referring to. It pointed to
Jesus death.
Jesus was the only child in all of humanity born to die. Once
you realize that, you will realize how much God loves you.
You will realize that He gave up His Son for that one purpose,
and that His Son willingly came for that one purpose to die for
your sins and mine.
Can you imagine living your life knowing that you are just
qualifying yourself to die on the cross to save the world? That
was the life that Jesus lived. He lived to die, so that we might
live and enjoy life abundantly today!
IT IS NEVER TOO LATE TO REDEDICATE YOUR LIFE TO
GOD,THINGS DO HAPPEN BUT DONT LET CIRCUMSTANCES
FORCE YOU TO BE SAVED.THE TIME IS NOW.SEE,BELIEVE
,ACT AND RECEIVE CHRIST AS YOUR LORD AND SAVIOUR!

THE FAITH SUBSTANCE.

THE FAITH PRAYER
Mark 11:22-24,
So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.
For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain,‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them."
Listen friends, With the prayer of faith, at the moment you pray you are to believe that you receive what you pray for. Not when the circumstances look different, not at some point in the future, but when you pray. The Amplified Bible says, Believe that it is granted to you.
When you pray, believe that God hears you and that He has sent the answer, whether you feel differently or not. Before you ever get up off your knees, believe that heaven has sent the answer.

1 John 5:14-15 says it this way, Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we
know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

The prayer of faith is prayed when you know and
understand God's will. Friend, the Bible is a revelation of the
will of God. Prayer will not reach beyond the will of God, and God's Word reveals His will to us.
So pray the prayer of faith according to His will, and you can be assured He hears you and heaven has sent the answer to your prayer.
This day I charge you to have faith in God and his will be realized in you. Amen.

TREASURE YOU MENTOR

Treasure Your Mentor.
Mentorship is the impartation of
information. Mentorship is accepting
perfect knowledge from an imperfect
man. Your mentor is anyone who
consistently teaches you what you
want to know. It was the secret of
Elijah and Elisha; Moses and Joshua;
Paul and Timothy. Pursue and extract
the knowledge of the mentors that
God has made available to your life.
Mentorship Is Learning Through The
Pain of Another. Your Future Is
Determined By Who You Choose To
Believe . A mentor is not just a towering figure over your life
but a friend, a brother, a sister, a father etc ... A good mentor
is that person who fits well in that gap you need them to be
and is led by God first before he /she leads you. It may not be
about age but divine wisdom in conduct, life, love and
relationships with all people. Seek God in finding that true
mentor.
I love them all who mentor me. I truly love you.
“A wise man will hear, and will
increase learning; and a man of
understanding shall attain unto wise
counsels,” (Proverbs 1:5).

HE IS AWARE. GOD IS AWARE!

After walking with his disciples for quite sometime, Jesus still knew that their faith and prayer life was still low. He understood the need to assure them that God knows the desires of their hearts, that God who sees the hearts of men was faithful to an uttent prayer made in faith has Power to heal the sick and even forgive sins cf James 5;15. He therefore taught them how to pray. But I thank God that in relating this prayer life to how the pharisees were doing it, Jesus had to teach them that it's not about show off but about seeking His kingdom to be established in our prayers.

Today I not only ask God to come through for you and me, but I ask Him to teach us how to seek him.

Matthew  6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.  6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.....
